Long-Range Wireless Temperature & Humidity Monitoring
The CORIS TH-D Temperature & Humidity sensor is a long range wireless sensor. It includes a built-in Temperature & Humidity sensor and has a USB-C port to attach optional external sensors (temperature, light, dry contact).
How the TH-D Communicates
The TH-D takes readings every 5 minutes (this interval can be adjusted if desired) and transmits the sensor readings to the local CORIS Gateway using LoRaWAN wireless transmission. LoRaWAN provides ultra-long range spread spectrum communication and high interference immunity, allowing the signal to pass through multiple floors and walls inside a building.
Where the TH-D Is Used
The TH-D is used for monitoring high value items and environments, including:
- Freezers and refrigerators
- Alarm ports on various devices
- Light levels where animals are kept
- Ambient temperature and humidity in labs and offices
- Construction sites
Battery Life and Onboard Datalog Memory
The TH-D has a built-in 2400mAh non-chargeable battery which can be used for up to 10 years and includes an internal datalog memory to record up to 3200 sensor readings when it cannot transmit readings to a Gateway, or when the Gateway cannot reach the CORIS servers in the cloud.
